Hockey Bros is a fast arcade hockey game focused on quick movement, puck battles, tackles and accurate shots. Play against the computer or challenge a friend in local 2-player matches.
Quick start: Chase the puck, create a shooting angle, and protect your goal. Use tackles to win possession, then shoot before your opponent can recover.
Player 1: WASD to move Spacebar to shoot/tackle
Player 2: Arrows to move Enter or L to shoot/tackle
The hard part is finding the right balance between attack and defense. If you go too high up the ice, your net's open but if you hang back too long, the other team has the puck.
Focus on your positioning prior to shooting. A well-timed tackle, followed up by a quick angled shot, is more often than not better than chasing the puck around the rink time and again.
The matches feel quick and chaotic, especially when both players fight for the puck near the goal. I found that staying slightly behind the puck made it easier to defend and launch counterattacks.
Hockey Bros is simple but requires good positioning, timing and quick reactions. Unlike slower hockey simulators, it focuses on short, arcade-style games that are easy to jump into, but become more competitive when playing against a skilled opponent.
